I have been doing the course: animal character desgin with david colman from the website creatureartteacher.com
To put my skills and what I learned to the test, I came up with a fun Project: Rockstars as Animal Character.
One of my first favourite Bands that made me interested in music, was Nirvana. So of course Kurt Cobain had to be my first Animal Character. For the Animal I choose, i just went with my gut. Kurt felt like a Llama.
First up I made some Llama Studies and used what I learned to combine human and Llama DNA.
I played around with colours, the background and improved the pose.
I came back to my style exploration during the process and decided to ditch the background and put the emphasis on the sketching part, since this is what I most enjoy.
And here is the final Result.
